I just received my pasta roller and cutter set and tried it out this morning with the spaghetti cutter. It was easy to do everything, I was impressed with both the roller and cutter. The recipe that comes with it makes a good sized batch. I cooked some for lunch and don't think I could ever go back to store bought pasta. Looking forward to trying different dough recipes.

I bought this 3 pack of paste rollers. Excited to use them, I made my own dough and proceeded to put it through the lasagne roller attachment only to find tiny bits of steel shards All throughout the dough. needless to say the dough was not edible. Tried both other attachments only to have the same thing happen! I thought it may be a problem when used for the first time. So I tried and tried again. Steel chards in every single batch!! I tried calling KitchenAid to rectify the problem but they had never came across this issue before that they knew of. So I just tossed all three attachments which was a very expensive heart break. Just a warning to all - check your dough carefully.

Plastic inside cracked

So disappointed - this worked wonderfully for several years but when I last used it the plastic inside of the roller cracked and started shredding the pasta. I see from the reviews that this has happened to other people and that it is not repairable. I'm not sure if you can just buy the roller separately, but it seems a shame to just throw this one away.

Wish the spaghetti was round

My family and I have so much fun making pasta with these attachments. One disappointment is that the spaghetti comes out flat and not round. Can you call it spaghetti if it is flat? It is the same shape as ramen noodles. I wish there were round shapes available. Also, I can't get the pasta out of the inside of the spaghetti attachment so it sounds like a baby rattle.

Got it to work on the first try!

I read the manual like a good boy, it was short and most things are obvious. Instead of shifting the flower I just used a whisk to blend in the salt so to fluff it up a bit to break up any clumps of flour and to add air before adding the eggs and water. You will need a drying rack before you start. Cleaning the parts was easier than I had originally expected.

Easy to use, tough to clean

This attachment is so much easier than rolling and cutting by hand! My only issue is that cleaning has been difficult; even with plenty of flour, sometimes dough gets stuck in the cutters, and they dry in pieces too large to shake or roll out. Kitchenaid is sending me a replacement, because the cutters are supposed to break apart the dry dough so it comes out more easily. Hopefully that fixes the problem!

Great in theory disappoints in reality

I achieved this as a gift and was so excited to use it. It is functional and does make the pasta but I find it a little temperamental to use as the instructions are vague for its use and the cleaning brush provided does a woeful job and is not helpful. I have gotten some good results through trial and error, but it has not lived up to my initial expectations and excitement.

Love it.. but did it break?

I've had my pasta attachments for about 3 years now. I LOVE it and use it often but I just noticed cracks in the plastic underneath. For the amount of money we spend on our mixers and the numerous attachments we all own, I don't feel like it should break this easily.

Worked Great until shaft broke

I received this as a gift last Christmas and used it to make spaghetti and fettuccini and those worked great. I used the lasagna one again make ravioli and they came out great, but the shaft broke after only the third use, are the internal parts plastic? I'm disappointed that it broke that easily especially since they seem so heavy. Not sure if it can be fixed or are the internal parts not replaceable. Not sure what kind of warranty this has, I'm guessing a year or less and I know I'm now past that. Wish you had more options like linguini, angel hair or egg noodle.

Making pasta is sooo easy with only 4 ingredients and this roller and cutter set. I got this for an anniversary present and I was so excited. This is a great attachment for my KitchenAid mixer. Plus fresh pasta cooks in half the time and is better for you!

Great cutters

poor quality, broken after a few uses

We bought this set in 2016, and only started using it recently. The spaghetti cutter is broken after just a few uses. Kitchenaid said ours is a 2005 model. Why did they sell 10-year-old model to customers? And they don't have repair service! The only solution they give is "to buy a new spaghetti cutter"!

Great fun and amazing pasta first time!

Our kids got the pasta roller set for us as a Christmas gift because they were enjoying theirs so much. Could hardly wait to get home to try it out. First batch we cut half as fettuccine and half as spaghetti. They were both amazing. Hard to imagine buying dry pasta again after that. So easy and so good, we may have to get the pasta extruded for macaroni and such.

Ease with Excellent Results!

I bought this for myself after Thanksgiving. I LOVE it! It's easy to use, clean up and store. I always have the makings for a meal at hand, as the ingredients needed for my basic pasta recipe are just eggs and all-purpose flour. Sauces can be as simple as a good olive oil and Parmesan, or a more elaborate sauce. These attachments help me produce quality meals at a fraction of the cost of a comparable restaurant dinner!
